An ongoing series of provisional sculptures, working with the basic elements of monuments and flag poles - concrete, metal, textile. Drawing on my expansive archive of plastic bags, the assemblages are proposals and maquettes for abstract national flags; theatre sets, making strange scales of everyday objects and the language of vague advertising. The forms land somewhere between fragmented architectures and display models; over-sized play things with simplified motifs; and to-scale modular elements for building, like concrete bricks that spill their reinforcing steel.

Eine fortlaufende Serie von provisorischen Skulpturen, die mit den Grundelementen von Denkmälern und Fahnenmasten - Beton, Metall, Textil - arbeiten. Aus meinem umfangreichen Archiv von Plastiktüten schöpfend, sind die Assemblagen Vorschläge und Maquetten für abstrakte Nationalflaggen, Theaterkulissen, die aus Alltagsgegenständen und der Sprache der vagen Werbung seltsame Maßstäbe machen. Die Formen bewegen sich irgendwo zwischen fragmentierten Architekturen und Ausstellungsmodellen, überdimensionalen Spielzeugen mit vereinfachten Motiven und maßstabsgetreuen modularen Bauelementen wie Betonsteinen, aus denen der Armierungsstahl herausläuft.
