Watching Me Watching You

2021

mixed media installation with video
wood, paint, images, found materials, fountain, lcd screens, media players, speakers, lights, transformers
Room size installation
Loosely influenced by Hitchcock’s Rear Window, this installation looks at social media and the lack of privacy and anonymity that exists today. Video plays behind some windows; other windows have backlit images. The "neon" signs are shatter-proof as they are made of rubber.
Originally Commissioned by Sofia Art Projects and exhibited in Intimacy and spectacle in the age of social media, Sofia Art Projects, Sofia, Bulgaria, 2021;
Smaller Worlds, Ludwig Museum, Budapest, Hungary, October 2022 - January 2023.
