Raising minimum defenses (prelude) is part of a series (Time in stone (ORIENT) and Tribute to a passerby (ROAMER) which takes three watch dials as a starting point, in search for fragments of language and material where delineating dates, scales of time, and their demarcation of landscapes, seem to exist. Overall I find myself drawn to traces of belief, or the ability to believe, in determined future dates, countable time across landscapes and communities, mainly in relationship to building.
