The Studio Office in the kulturwerk of the bbk berlin is the central contact point for all artists living in Berlin and looking for a studio–regardless of whether they are members of the bbk. We provide advice on finding a studio and holding on to existing studios.
The Studio Office has made a long-term commitment to securing spaces for the production of visual art in Berlin and to keeping them affordable for artists, even in the face of gentrification.

New location map of the Atelierbüro at the bbk Berlin Kulturwerk
The Studio Office (Atelierbüro) at bbk berlin’s kulturwerk has compiled the current status of the studio buildings in the workspace program into a new interactive map. At a glance, you can see which buildings are secured for the long term, which will remain only until the end of 2029, and which have already been lost.

Despite yet another change at the helm of Berlin's cultural administration, the foundations of cultural funding must not be allowed to crumble. Ten studio locations within the workspace programme are currently at risk. One studio building is even facing immediate closure by the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion, with a deadline of 30 April. bbk berlin is sounding the alarm!
