Office for Art in Public Space

Application KiöR Artists Database

The office maintains a database with portfolios of artists working in the field of art in public space and art in architecture. All professional artists who live and work in Berlin can register there with examples of their work. It is the only database on art in public spaces and art on buildings in Europe with currently about 740 artists/groups.

The artists listed on the database can be proposed by the specialist commission for art in public space of the bbk berlin and the advisory boards active in Berlin to participate in restricted, invited competitions. The database is available to interested parties by appointment.

The registration of artists in the KiöR Database takes place with the application for admission and a digital portfolio as well as the entry in the online database. The portfolio should include examples of work and an artistic curriculum vitae. Please send the complete documents to

Beyond the digital archive, the Office for Art in Public Space maintains an archive in which portfolios and catalogs are collected and made accessible. In addition to the digital portfolio, individual catalogs and portfolios can also be submitted.
