The installation will include a text and an audio/visual component. Selected quotes from interviews will be handwritten by youth and then scaled and applied to the walls. The method and materials will be developed collaboratively with the site architects and contractors but could include: sgraffito, printed transfer, paint, stamping etc. The audio recordings of the youth reading excerpts from interviews will overlay the visual footage they gathered during their research. There will be a QR code mounted on the wall which will take Library visitors to the recording which can be heard via smartphones. Additionally, subtitles in English and Spanish will be visible.
