Rachel Monosov (geb. 1987 in Russland) arbeitet mit Performance, Fotografie, Video und Skulptur. Indem sie sich mit kulturellen Vorstellungen von Entfremdung, territorialer Zugehörigkeit und Identität auseinandersetzt, reflektiert sie eine wurzellose Gegenwart, die weitreichende soziale Implikationen mit sich bringt. Monosovs Arbeiten wurden in Ausstellungen in der Bundeskunsthalle Bonn, im Art Institute of Chicago, im Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rom und auf Biennalen gezeigt, so auf der 11. Bamako Biennale, der 13. Biennale von Dakar und im Simbabwe-Pavillon auf der 57. Biennale di Venezia. Sie erhielt das Praxisstipendium der Deutschen Akademie Rom Villa Massimo.
