Media Lab
From 2020, in the historic "Kesselhaus" of the Kunstquartier Bethanien
The historic "Kesselhaus" on the south wing of Kunstquartier Bethanien was renovated in 2019/20 and set up as a laboratory for the development of multimedia artworks, performances and projections. It is open for experiments with art and media, screenings, performances, workshops and network meetings.
Facilities
- 80 square metre windowless room: trusses and projection surfaces, white screen with coving as background for video and photo recordings, event and studio lighting controllable via DMX, several video projectors, good sound insulation, a speaker's booth for sound recordings.
- 20 square metre room with daylight: workshop, 3D printer, a repro/trick table for simple stop-motion projects.

- The same rules as in the green screen studio apply in the media lab
- No weekend bookings
- The technology is included in the price. Individual prices may be negotiated for special projects.
- After a short introduction, users work on their own - it's easy - but there should generally be two of you and you should allow at least an hour to set up.
- Not permitted: The use of glitter and small reflective particles, smoke machines and smoke-like effects.
