In 2023, construction began on a queer and lesbian senior living facility, RuT Wohnen, at 9-11 Berolinstraße, Berlin, Germany. In the project, members of the RuT community were invited to recall a recipe which evokes a memory or feeling of “chosen family.” They wrote down the recipe on a piece of paper along with a description of the memory that dish evokes. On September 16th, participants cooked the dish and brought it to a community celebration at the future site of the RuT home. The recipes were printed on white fabric and hung around the site of the future home.
