Maria Bajt

Maria Bajt (*1976, Stockholm, Schweden; lebt und arbeitet in Berlin) arbeitet mit einer Reihe von Medien - von Zeichnung, Skulptur und Malerei bis hin zu Druckgrafik, Installation und Kunst im öffentlichen Raum - um existenzielle Themen und die Mythen und Folklore, die die Geschichte begleiten, zu erkunden. Ihre hybriden, metaphorischen Körper und Formen bewegen sich im Grenzbereich und in der Begegnung zwischen dem Menschlichen und dem Nicht-Menschlichen, zwischen Natur und Science-Fiction. Maria Bajt besitzt einen M.F.A. Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm, Schweden (2003-2008).
