In meiner Praxis arbeite ich mit Farbstücken als Hindernisse auf gebeugten Metalloberflächen. Die Gemälde laden die Betrachter*innen ein, das Bild durch eine interaktive, relationale Perspektive zu untersuchen. Die Arbeiten, die in der Landschaft angesiedelt sind, verschieben sich je nach Entfernung und Bewegung en der Betrachten und fordern die Betrachtende auf, die Schatten, die Lücken, den negativen Raum als einen aktiven Aspekt des Bildes und der Herstellung eines Bildes zu sehen.

I work with pieces of paint as obstacles on diffracted metal surfaces, the paintings invite the viewer to investigate the image through an interactive, relational perspective. The grey characteristic of the industrial metal mirrors the movement of light, shining, giving the illusion of light without emitting the light itself. The stainless steel sheets of mesh, which are designed to preserve holes, when layered give the impression of being weightless, floating, both visible and invisible at the same time. The shadows from the layers of mesh impact what can be seen and create their own rhythm. Though not always installed in a tradition sense on the wall, I see my work as paintings. I paint on gaps. The works, which are based in landscape, shift according to the distance and movement of the viewer. The works invite the viewer to see the shadows, the negative space, the gaps, as an active part of the image and an active part in the formation of an image.
