We are delighted to welcome our next guest at FIXTURES #9: Sharon Paz.
Sharon Paz uses technology as both medium and metaphor in constructing non-linear narratives. The lecture Fragmented Reality – Technology, Memory, and Home explores the artist’s installations combining visual and textual layers, interactive systems as Games, 3D virtual platforms and Augmented Reality.
The artist will present her creative process to create alternative nonlinear storytelling and research where meaning unfolds through audience engagement.
Central to Paz work is the question of home—not only as a personal notion but as a political one. Through sound, movement, and digital layering, she examines how technology shapes belonging, displacement, and memory.
The works link past and present while imagining ways to deal with an increasingly moving fractured world.
In the lecture she presents several of her interactive projects where the audience will be invited to try and take part.

Documentation
On 8 December 2025, the last FIXTURES event of this year took place with the artist Sharon Paz. This evening, attended by many interested guests at the Media Lab/Kesselhaus, was also a complete success. Sharon first presented three different artistic works, her approach, the creative process involving extensive research, and their implementation in her exciting lecture. Afterwards, visitors were able to immerse themselves interactively in the projects on various computers. We would like to thank Sharon Paz very much for her inspiring lecture.
