The kulturwerk of the bbk berlin is a non-profit subsidiary of the berufsverband bildender künstler*innen berlin (the professional association of visual artists in berlin) whose primary goal is to establish favourable conditions for artistic production.
The services provided by the kulturwerk are available to all professional visual artists in Berlin and enable them to work with unrestricted artistic freedom, independently of the pressures of conformity and commercialisation.

In 2025, the print workshop at the bbk berlin's kulturwerk will be celebrating its 50th anniversary. It has been a vibrant place of artistic productio for half a century. We call for participation in the preparations for this great anniversary!
Finissage „35 Jahre Grafikedition“ and talk on March 15, 2024 6 - 9 pm

In 2024, the Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt will once again award research grants in the field of visual arts for the artistic/curatorial development of Berlin-based professional artists, curators and artistic or curatorial groups in the field of visual arts in Berlin who have proven themselves through their work.
