Our guest in September: Yasuto Yura presents at FIXTURES #7 his project VIDEO PARTY and will show his own work and several video artworks of other japanese artists.

This event will be held in Japanese and kindly translated from the artist Yoko Hata into German.

FIXTURES #7 is part of the program Strategic Autumn of Solidarity in Visual Art in 2025 of the Bildungswerk bbk berlin.

VIDEO PARTY began in 2013 with an open call for an exhibition, at that time without any connection to a screening. Since then, however, the regular screenings have attempted to fill a gap and offer the video genre a place to present the wide variety of expressive possibilities of the works to a larger audience. This also gives the artists the opportunity to interact directly with the viewers.

Yasuto Yura is a video artist and professor at Osaka Electro-Communication University in the Department of Games and Media.
